LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club

Introducing the LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club!

2020 certainly threw us a curve ball with huge challenges to completing the 2019-2020 yearbook. Despite working from home, several members of the Yearbook Club were able to kick it into high gear to finish up the yearbook, on time, and produce another  great yearbook. Fortunately, Yearbook Club is able to operate virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. We will be starting to recruit Yearbook Club members very soon. Students, in-person and cyber students, in 5th and 6th grade may participate in the LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club.  The Yearbook Club Participation Form can be printed, completed, and submitted by email to the Yearbook Advisor listed below, or sent into school with your child. The Yearbook Club meets twice monthly from 3:30-5:00PM beginning in October through the end of the school year.

Students will be given instruction on how to take yearbook quality photos, work with teachers to capture candid photos of students during classroom activities/school events, design yearbook pages, select a yearbook theme, assist in proofing pages ready for print and be involved in yearbook sales events. All aspects of yearbook creation and design are made available to students.

Yearbook Photos Needed!
The Yearbook Club members design, coordinate and produce the elementary school yearbook. The Yearbook Club tries to get photos of a diverse group of students from all grades, but some grades are harder to obtain pictures than others. Since we won’t have parent photo to pull from for this year, it is even more important for student to take an active role in taking photos of their class. We will be working with Mrs. Shupp and teachers to play a more active role in taking photos for the yearbook. Cyber students are encouraged to submit photos of doing schoolwork and educational activities.

Please make sure you submit high resolution, high quality photos. We prefer the photos to be sent to us as JPG files, but we have the ability to convert PNG and JFIF file if needed. Photos should be clear and close enough for us to see the activity as well the face(s) of the children.

How can I submit photos?
There are 3 ways to conveniently share your photos - see our Photos Needed Flyer:
1. Upload them directly to the Yearbook eShare site at, our school code is #16901.
2. Send them to the Yearbook Committee’s email address at
3. Share them through Facebook at Benton Yearbook.
