LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club

Introducing the LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club
2nd Year as a Club!

For years the Parent Teacher Council (PTC) has organized and led the design, creation, sales and distribution of the elementary yearbook.  Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year that opportunity is being extended to students in 5th and 6th grade where students may participate in the LR Appleman Elementary Yearbook Club.  The Yearbook Club is a new school sponsored club.  Former representatives of the PTC’s Yearbook Committee serve as advisers.  The Yearbook Club meets at least monthly immediately following school from 3:00-4:30PM beginning in October through the end of the school year.

Students are given instruction on how to take yearbook quality photos, work with teachers to capture candid photos of students during classroom activities/school events, design yearbook pages, select a yearbook theme, assist in proofing pages ready for print and be involved in yearbook sales events. All aspects of yearbook creation and design are made available to students.

Yearbook Photos Needed!
The Yearbook Club designs, coordinates and produces the elementary school yearbook. The Yearbook Club tries to get photos of a diverse group of student from all grades, but some grades are harder to obtain pictures than others. We would appreciate anyone who has clearances to serve as an ad-hoc photographer for the yearbook. Anytime you are in the school for events or helping in the classroom, we would appreciate a few moments of your time to take photos of the event and even random photos of students in the classroom or recess pictures are appreciated.

For the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, we are asking parents to send us photos of how your children are spending their time at home. We will be including Covid-19 in the yearbook and will have two pages dedicated to local response. We would like to include some photos of how students are getting work school work done and how they are spending their time.

Please make sure you submit to us high resolution, high quality photos. We prefer the photos to be sent to us as JPG files, but we have the ability to convert PNG and JFIF file if needed. Photos should be clear and close enough for us to see the activity as well the face(s) of the children.

How can I submit photos?
There are 3 ways to conveniently share your photos - see our Photos Needed Flyer:

- Upload them directly to the Yearbook eShare site at, our school code is #16901.
- Send them to the Yearbook Committee’s email address at
- Share them through Facebook at Benton Yearbook.
