1. Introduction

The Benton Area School District (the “District”) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal of two (2) existing commercial hot water heaters and installation of four (4) one hundred and fifty (150) gallons new high-efficiency commercial-grade water heaters with higher recovery rates and flow capacity at Benton Area High School.

The project is intended to increase overall system efficiency, reduce energy use, and ensure reliable hot water delivery for all school operations including kitchens, restrooms, and locker room facilities. The new configuration shall maintain or exceed the existing system’s performance while operating with a smaller total storage capacity.
