Benton Area School District is accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2026-2027 school year. Children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1st, 2026, can begin kindergarten in the fall. Parents need a copy of their child’s original birth certificate and immunization records.

Two proofs of residency are required to register your child. Examples of proof can be a current driver’s license, copy of a current paycheck, a current utility bill, copy of deed, mortgage or lease, homeowners or renters’ insurance, W-2 statement, or real estate tax bill or receipt.

There will be an in-person kindergarten registration event at the elementary school on Monday, February 9th, from 11:30 to 6:30. Parents of incoming kindergarten students need to contact the Child Accounting Office at (570) 925-0932 to set up an appointment to register your child if you are unable to attend this event.
