Hello Tiger Families,
We have a busy and exciting season ahead at Benton Elementary School! On Tuesday, November 11th, we will host our annual Veteran’s Day Program beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. This event is open to the public, and we invite all community members to join us as we honor and celebrate our veterans.
On Friday, November 14th, our students will take the stage for this year’s operetta, Seussical Kids! The show begins at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium, and we encourage families to come out and enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment as our students showcase their hard work and talent.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 17th, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be no school for students that day. Conference sign-up paperwork was sent home with student report cards, so please be sure to return those forms if you have not already done so.
Picture Make-Up Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19th. Any student who missed picture day or would like a retake will have the opportunity to do so at that time.
Our Thanksgiving Break begins with an early dismissal at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25th, and there will be no school from 11:00 on November 25th through December 1st. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful break and good luck to those heading out for the first day of deer season!
Looking ahead to December, mark your calendars for our first annual Christmas in the Park event on Thursday, December 11th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Each classroom will decorate a tree for the community to enjoy, the PTC will host a concession stand with holiday treats and the high school chorus will perform festive favorites. We’ll also have a very special guest, Santa, along with several of his reindeer! This is a free community event, but donations will be collected to support our playground fundraiser. If you have working holiday lights you’d like to donate, please contact Missy Muldowney at the district office.
We’re looking forward to a wonderful season filled with learning, celebration, and community spirit here at Benton Elementary School! Go Tigers!
